Early Life
Lake Caroline Siegel Bell was born on March 24, 1979 in New York, to Robin Bell (owner of a design company) and Harvey Siegel (real estate developer), who has an elder brother named Luke.
She attended different schools in Manhattan and Simsbury, Connecticut. When she was a teenager, her family moved to Florida. In Florida, she attended Saint Edwards School.
She went to the Skidmore College before transferring to Rose Bruford College, which is where she entered into theatre acting. In London, she explored in stage productions like The Seagull, Six Degrees of Separation and Light Shining in Buckinghamshire. She graduated from her degree program at Rose Bruford College and retured to Los Angeles.
Career
In 2002, she appeared in the film Speakeasy as Sara Marnikov. It was a part of Project Greenlight, a documentary series that projects the hardships of a new director. It also highlights the resources transforming the vision into reality. She acted in two episodes of ER in 1998 which was also her debut in the world of Television.
Her first impactful work came with Jeff Goldblum in 2003. Her voice has been used for computer animated films such as ‘Mr. Peabody & Sherman’ (2014), ‘The Secret life of Pets’ (2016), and ‘The Secret Life of Pets 2’ (2019).
According to industry magazine, Bell’s 2010 short film, ‘Worst Enemy,’ won the award for best screenwriting along with a “Shorts Jury Special Mention” at the Dallas International Film Festival.
