Mathematics Help Online

Mathematics is a subject that requires a clear understanding of concepts through simple learning methods and regular practice. Various learning management institutions have introduced the online method of learning for students to help them learn basic mathematical concepts. Online education has been widely accepted as an alternative to the traditional mode of learning in schools and colleges. The main focus is to create a learning environment that makes the studies interesting and effective. Various institutes are offering math help online to allow students to continue their studies with the flexibility of location and time. Online classes are also conducted according to the requirement of students of different standards that provide valuable learning through the application of digital tools and techniques.

Online Mathematics Learning Mode

The online platforms have proven to be very useful for students in terms of providing simple yet effective methods of learning mathematics concepts. The learning apps designed for mathematics help online offer user-friendly and convenient access to their website and get the necessary guidance. There are options to join online classes through audio and video facilities to help students and teachers interact just like live classroom sessions. The mathematics help online provided by expert mentors allows students to overcome their limitations and improve their analytical and problem-solving skills as required. The mathematics help online also includes customized programs to suit the requirements of students like getting advice on career counselling, preparing themselves for competitive examinations, or tracking progress by evaluating the assignment results. Cuemath provide mathematics help online through a practice-oriented learning approach that helps to build confidence among students in handling math assignments with more speed and accuracy.

Linear Pair of Angles: A Pair of Adjacent Angles in Straight Line

When two straight lines intersect, four angles are formed at the point of intersection. Out of these four angles, one pair of angles is adjacent to the other. The pair of adjacent angles formed at the point of intersection of two straight lines is called a linear pair of angles. The sum of the values of a linear pair of angles is always 180 degrees. In other words, the linear pair of angles are supplementary to each other.

Properties of Linear Pair of Angles

The linear pair of angles are formed next to each other with a common aim and a common vertex. It is to be noted that adjacent angles can be formed by the intersection of more than two straight lines but they are not linear pairs of angles as they don’t add up to 180 degrees. However, all supplementary angles are not linear pairs of angles if they are not adjacent. On the other hand, if the sum of a pair of adjacent angles is 180 degrees then we can surely say that these two angles are linear. The term linear comes from the fact that the two arms other than the common arm of linear angles form a straight line.

Linear Pair of Angles Example

For example, if two straight lines AB and CD intersect at point O, then ∠AOC and ∠COB is linear pair of angles having a common arm OC. Similarly, ∠AOD and ∠DOB are also linear pairs of angles having a common arm OD. In both cases the common vertex is O.

Again ∠AOC +∠COB = 180 degrees and ∠AOD +∠DOB = 180 degrees.

Important Points on Linear Pair of Angles

  • The linear pair of angles is always adjacent but all adjacent angles are not linear pairs of angles.
  • The sum of two angles of a linear pair is 180 degrees.
  • The pair of linear angles have a common vertex and a common arm.
  • The non-common sides of a linear pair of angles join to form a straight line.
