Joyce Meyer- Mother of Sandra McCollom

Joyce Meyer was born in the United States on June 4, 1943. Her father generally stayed away from home following birth, and when at home, he started to sexually, verbally, and emotionally abuse her. Her father’s misdeeds crushed Joyce, and the abuse significantly impacted her, and her tortured existence left a solid and enduring imprint on her.

Meyer gradually developed a negative self-image, and due to this, several problems dominated her daily life. She had a split personality, which left her insecure, uncontrollable, aggressive, and self-pitying.

Despite these difficulties, Meyer finished her education and graduated from O’Fallon Technical High School. After high school, Meyer wedded a car salesperson. Even though her marriage lasted five years, Meyer was accused of frequent infidelity with her husband and of instigation for stealing paychecks from her work. They spent the stolen cash on holiday in California, according to her testimony, and alleged to have repaid it years later.

After their divorce, Joyce began frequenting the bars and met Dave Meyer, an engineering drafter. Dave successfully altered her; his concern, encouragement, and consistent reassurance calmed Meyer, and the couple married on January 7, 1967.

Meyer commented that everything sweetened after getting a personal word from God while taking her car to work on a 1976 morning. She acquired a powerful personality and began to give lectures that interpreted God’s messages and fully comprehended and grasped them.
