Plot:
The story of the first installment of the series – Reign starts off with the timeline of the show set in 1557 with the main character of the historical drama – Mary residing in a convent in France but her stay there doesn’t last long as the Queen of scots is returned to the castle where it is revealed that she has been eagerly waiting for her marriage with Prince Francis whom she got engaged to when she was just 6 years old.
Mary has to play a role in the chaos as the politics change and the various challenges on her path include her feelings for Prince Frances getting vigorously multiplied with time along with her catching romantic attentions of Francis’ moronic half brother – Bash. Meanwhile, Prince Frances’ mother – Catherine de’ Medici tries to prevent the marriage secretly because she believes in a prediction made by Nostradamus saying that the marriage will lead to Francis’ death.
The series also follows various interactions such as romantic affairs notably of Scottish Maidens of Mary herself – Kenna, Aylee, Lola, and Greer (context from “Four Marys”), who are on a search for husbands of their own during their time at the French Court.
