Who is Katya Ariel Tylo?
For those who don’t know, Katya Ariel Tylo is the daughter of former model and actress Hunter Tylo and former American actor Michael Edward Tylo.
Katya was born on January 15, 1998. She has a brother named Michael Edward Tylo and a sister named Izabella Gabrielle Tylo.
Katya also has one step-brother named Christopher Tylo. He is the first son of Hunter Tylo and her ex-husband, Tom Morehart.
Health Issues
When Katya Tylo was born in 1998, she was immediately diagnosed with a rare cancer of the eye as an infant. This cancer is known as retinoblastoma.
Retinoblastoma is a rare type of cancer that develops rapidly from the immature cells of a retina. It’s one of the most common main cancers in kids. It’s also virtually exclusive to young kids.
Doctors successfully removed the eye to get rid of cancer and Katya had to undergo chemotherapy.
Unfortunately, another tumor was detected in Katya’s other eye. However, the tumor suddenly disappeared, which surprised her doctors.
As of today, Katya has recovered from retinoblastoma during her infancy. However, she has to wear a prosthetic right eye.

Katya’s mother is the popular American model, author, actress, Hunter Tylo. She was born on July 3, 1962, in Fort Worth, Texas. Her real name is Deborah Jo Hunter.
Hunter is best known for her role on The Bold and the Beautiful as Taylor Hayes.
Hunter first appeared in the 1984 movie called “The Initiation”. After she played regular roles in daytime soap operas in the United States, Hunter became popular.
Her TV debut was in 1985 on a show called “All My Children”. Unfortunately, Hunter was removed from the role in 1988 after the producer found out she was having a relationship with Michael Tylo, another cast member.
Before marrying Katya’s father, Hunter was married to Tom Morehart. The two have a son named Christopher Tylo. They divorced in 1984.
Hunter married Gersson Archila on November 29, 2009. However, the marriage was annulled on August 30, 2018, due to Gersson’s issues, such as previous criminal cases.

Katya’s father is also the popular American actor, Michael Edward Tylo. Michael was born on October 16, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan.
Her father was best known for his role on “Guiding Light” as Quinton Chamberlain. Tylo also appeared as Matt Connolly on the soap opera “All My Children”. This is where he met Hunter Tylo and they had a relationship together.
Unfortunately, this relationship was the reason why Hunter was removed from her role in the series.
Hunter Tylo and Michael Tylo divorced in 2005.
On January 10, 2010, Michael Tylo married Rachelle. The two had two kids named Gianna Tylo and Kollette Tylo.
On September 28, 2021, Michael died at the age of 72.

Katya’s brother, Michael Edward Tylo accidentally drowned in their family pool in Henderson, Nevada on October 18, 2007.
Michael was only 19 years old during his death. According to the authorities, Michael drowned due to a seizure disorder. They ruled his death accidental.
