“Made in Abyss” is a popular anime that is based on the life of an orphan girl named Riko who lives in the Belchero Orphanage in the town of Orth. There is a hole in Orth, which has been dug to reach the deeper parts of the earth. The hole is known as Abyss. People believe that the hole is cursed and that the more one goes deep into it, the more the effects of the curse shall intensify on them.

Made in Abyss is based on a Manga of the same name, which belongs to the genre of Adventure, dark fantasy, and science fiction. The Manga has been written by Akihito Tsukushi and it has been published by Takeshobo. Its English publisher is Seven Seas Entertainment and its Imprint has been provided by Bamboo Comics.

Plot:

The show revolves around an orphan named Riko who lives in a town that has a hole, known as Abyss. Residents of the town believe that Abyss is cursed and that anyone who goes closer to it, is affected by the curse.
