Tokkie Jones, All Things You Need To Know

Tokkie Jones

Tokki Jones has been Yolandi Visser’s adopted son since 2010. Yolandi adopted him with her partner at the time, Watkin Tudor Jones Jr. Tookie’s grandfather is Ben du Toit. Visser is a parent to Tokkie, a street kid she took on four quite a while back. At that point, he was nine years old and till now has an aggressive nature and behavior, which is understandable considering he came from an unpleasant area in Joburg. His family was poor, so Visser proposed to deal with him at the end of the week and afterward decided to care for him full-time.

Additionally, Du Toit also gave birth to a little girl, Sixteen Jones, brought into the world in 2005 with her now ex and past relationship partner, Die Antwoord bandmate (Ninja) Jones.

She adopted three children, with Tokkie being one of them, alongside a young lady, Meisie, who was taken in, in the same year as Tokkie, which was 2010. In addition, Yolandi had one more child named Jemile, who was also adopted, but in 2015.

About Yolandi

As a kid, Du Toit was taken over by a minister named Reverend Ben du Toit and his other half. She also had an assenting more established sibling, Leon, who passed away during the year 2015. Living through childhood, she has reported that she felt as if she didn’t fit into the norms or have a place in society and portrayed herself as ‘a mischievous troublemaker’ who would often end up in fistfights.

At the age of 16, Du Toit was shipped off to a boarding school nine hours away from her family, where she said her creativity and imagination grew for the better by interacting with talented and ambitious people.

Tokkie and His Nature

Yolandi also made a music video about her son Tokkie’s experiences with bullying. The video shows how this one guy wakes him up in the middle of the night and punches him in the face because from where he comes from, bullying is a huge problem, and it happens on quite a large scale. Not just emotionally but physically as well.

Tokkie snapped, stabbed the guy in the neck, and put him into a hospital. Yolandi spoke about this in an interview, saying that she got a call about this situation and was so confused. The guy chilled out later and didn’t come back for anything, but basically, the whole music video was documentation based on actual events circling her son’s experiences.
