Everleigh Hawkins is the daughter of American drummer Taylor Hawkins and his wife, Alison. She is the youngest in a family of three; the others are Oliver Shane, the eldest, and Annabelle, the middle child. Her brother Oliver someday would have to take it from where his father left off in the music industry; he is passionate about it and would love to perform better than his father.
Educational Background
Everleigh’s mother has not made public details of her daughter’s education, but given her age, she is probably in grade school. However, her older brother Oliver Shane is in high school.
Her Father
Everleigh’s father started his career in the entertainment industry in 1994, working as the drummer for the Sylvia band. After quitting the band, he was a drummer for Sass Jordan before joining Alanis Morissette from 1995 to 1997. In 1997, there was a tussle between William Goldsmith and Dave Crohl, making William leave the band
Taylor Hawkins joined the band to replace Goldsmith as the band’s drummer. Everleigh’s father worked with the Foo Fighters from 1997 until his untimely death in 2022. Before his death, Everleigh’s father had done an album about her second-born Annabelle; probably, he would have done the same to Everleigh if not for his death.
During his time with the Foo Fighters, they recorded and released eight albums. Besides performing with his band, Everleigh’s father was involved with other projects, including providing vocals in some artists’ songs and albums. He also did some recordings, and when his band was on break, he formed a band called Chevy Metal.
Elton John also featured Everleigh’s father in his collaborative album, The Lockdown Sessions, in 2021, where he played drums.
Her Father’s Untimely Death
Taylor Hawkins and his band had gone to Bogota, Colombia, to perform; he was in his hotel room at Four Seasons Casa Medina Hotel when he started experiencing chest pain. The emergency medical services were called and tried CPR, but he was already dead. Taylor’s family did not immediately report his death, or the cause of death for that matter.
A toxicology test on his urine revealed that Everleigh’s father had several drug substances in his body, including benzodiazepines, opioids, and tricyclic antidepressants, among other substances
Live Without Her Father
Losing a loved one is one of the toughest pain, but time is a healer of everything. It was tough for Everleigh Hawkins to lose her father, but she has found a way to cope. However, she misses that fatherly figure in her life.
After her father’s death, Everleigh, her sister, and her mother showed up on stage in a public event, but it was an emotional moment for them as the stage for them was meant for her late dad.
